This year we were unable to charter the 100 cabin Statendam, but have found a beautiful replacement in the 4-star luxury 64 cabin MV Elegant Lady, built in 2003. The itinerary is very similar to our 2008 cruise. This includes the extremely popular Wiesbaden Twinkling Star Market which we added in 2008 for the first time. We will be sailing from Cologne to Koblenz, Wiesbaden, Rudesheim, Bonn and back to Cologne in time to spend 24-hours there, giving us plenty of time to visit one or all of the city’s five Christmas markets. The buzz and atmosphere of all the markets is always a great pleasure, full of good cheer and merriment. Rudesheim is a real Christmas fairyland. We expect it to be, as usual, the star of the show. It is set among charming meandering lanes and is truly delightful. And in the evening, what better than to venture out to our regular hotel tavern for a drink and some local entertainment? Bonn is different to any other market mainly because of its magnificent setting around the superb cathedral. On top of this there are also the wonderful department store windows to see. On board, there will be as usual the wonderful party evenings; the musical entertainment; the company of our Cruise In friends and, above all, the lovely Christmas spirit. Roll on November for our next Christmas Markets cruise! Come and join us!
